At Sunvision Solar one of the things we’re most proud of has less to do with the products and services we offer and is more about the impact that we can have on the lives of the Arizona residents we’ve dedicated ourselves to serving.

Mesa Arizona Food bank

Even though Arizona was the last of the contiguous states to be admitted to the Union all the way back in 1912, it’s contribution to this country cannot be denied. It became the first state in the country to reject the banning of civil unions in 2006. It’s home to incredible cultural landmarks like the Phoenix Art Museum. It’s given sports fans the Cardinals, the Diamondbacks and, of course, the Phoenix Suns. The list goes on and on. Arizona had a population of 7.2 million people as of 2019… but not all of them are as fortunate as we have been. That’s why the team at  Sunvision Solar was honored to donate our time to the United Food Bank in Mesa, Arizona recently, to help give back to those who have already given us so much.

The Power of the United Food Bank

Why is the United Food Bank so important? Because on average, they distribute about 75,000 meals to needy families in Arizona on a daily basis. In the last year alone, they made sure that over 48,000 food boxes got into the hands of the people who needed them the most. They’ve made a significant, positive impact on over 470,000 hungry kids in Arizona – and we wanted to do whatever it could to help further that mission.

For our team, giving back is more than just “the right thing to do.” It’s something we’re compelled to do, because if the COVID-19 pandemic has taught us anything it’s that we’re all in this together. We all go through good times and bad and when those difficult days arrive, we need all the help we can get.

That’s why we made it a mission to devote our time, our energy and our passion to making a difference in the lives of the people in the communities we serve. The hard-working men and women at the United Food Bank don’t do this for the gratitude, and they certainly don’t do it for the money or for the accolades.

They do it because doing nothing simply isn’t an option. It’s an inspiring message and a shining example of what can be accomplished when we work together as a team, and we were honored for our chance to do our part to contribute to those ideals.
